The Municipal Museum and Multscher Museum of Sterzing/Vipiteno is situated in the historic ”Deutschhaus“, once the commandery of the Teutonic Order. The centerpiece of the museum’s collection are the surviving panels and other elements of the late Gothic Altarpiece by Hans Multscher. The museum also exhibits artifacts from the guild and craft history of Vipiteno and embraces contemporary themes through special exhibitions.
